My 5 Minute Face

Hey guys! Sorry it has been so long since my last post. I just wanted to write a quick post about a recent makeup routine that I have been loving.  Since I am a student, I do not have a lot of time to do my makeup during the week.

For such a fast routine, I cannot afford the time to do full foundation, so my first two products are concealer. However, if you do have acne or something else you want to cover, you should definitely use a foundation. It may take longer, but coverage does depend on the person. This routine will vary based on the person.

1. The Loreal Magic Lumi Concealer/Corrector

I use the shade medium dark. This is a great under eye brightener and since I have a lot of dark circles I really want to brighten up the area before concealing them. It also acts somewhat like a primer because it keeps the concealer that goes above it on longer.

2. The Covergirl and Olay Under Eye Concealer

I use the shade medium dark. This works well to hide the dark circles. It is very pigmented and thick but not cake-y.  From all the concealers that I have tried, it is one of the longest lasting as well.

Since there is no foundation, I like to use powder for a light coverage, as well as to set the under eye concealers.

3. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

I use the shade medium dark. I also have slight redness on my cheeks, which this powder covers well.

The last thing I want to do on my face is contouring.  Since I do have redness, I don't feel like I need to do blush, but it is all personal preference.

4. Nars Casino Bronzer

Now I like to use this to contour the hollows of my cheeks as well as under my chin and on my jawline.  What I also like to do is contour my crease with this shade.  It is a good way to define the eye without eyeshadow.

Besides contouring the crease, I do not do any other shadow on my lids.  So skip to the eyeliner.  Since it is daytime, I want to be subtle and I use a brown eyeliner.

5. Loreal Extra Intense Liquid Pencil Eyeliner in Brown

Now this is not my favorite eyeliner, but it is my only brown one, so I am going to use it until it is done. I apply it to the waterline. It is not the best for the waterline, so I would not recommend it.

6. Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara

I use the blackest black mascara. Now this can be paired with an eyelash curler, but this mascara, I have found, gives really nice curl to the lashes. Now this is not a very volumizing mascara, but since it is the daytime, I want more natural lashes.

7. Korres Lip Butter in Quince

This is a nice way to add moisture and color to the lips.  The color quince is a pinkish red so it adds a really nice color to the lips.  It does not last very well, so it can be re-applied throughout the day.

This routine takes between 5 and 10 minutes, depending on how you feel that morning.
