Have Your Makeup Stay All Day

If you want some tricks to keeping your makeup on all day, keep reading!

There are three ways in which you can set your makeup to stay all day.

1. Primer. A primer will keep your makeup, both face and eyes, lasting all day. Additionally, some primers, like Benefit's Porefessional, Maybelline's Baby Skin and L'oreal's Miracle Blur, will reduce the appearance of pores or fine lines. Additionally, some primers can keep the skin looking dewy or matte.

2. Setting Spray. A setting spray can be applied both before and after you put on your makeup. It will set everything in place. Some sprays, by Urban Decay or Skindinävia, have sprays that will keep the skin matte or allow the skin to look dewy.My favorite is the MAC Fix+ because I think it gives the best staying power.

3. Translucent Powder. While most people know to set their foundation with powder, translucent powders can be used to set all of your face makeup. If you apply it over blush, bronzer or lipstick, it'll keep them lasting longer. Have a light hand with it though, because if you don't, you will end up looking white cast. The Tarte powder, if used with a light hand, leaves no white cast, even in flash photography. There are some powders, like the Rimmel Stay Matte or MAC Prep and Prime Powder, which will also keep you matte, while the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder or Nars Crystal Avalanche Powder will give a nice sheen to the skin.

I hope that helped some of you guys! Let me know some of your tips for keeping your makeup on all day!

Love,
B.
